Bylaws

The section between the lines is a direct copy from the 2012 Bylaws.  Please do not edit.


Article IV.  Section 2C. Duties.

Duties of the Immediate Past President shall be:

  1. To maintain the Chapter’s Policies and Procedures Manual;
  2. To chair the Nominations and Elections Committee and appoint additional members to serve;
  3. To monitor the Chapter bylaws for necessary amendments, and serve as an ex-officio member of a special Bylaws Committee should one be appointed;
  4. To perform all other duties prescribed by [the] Bylaws and by the parliamentary authority adopted by the Chapter. 

 


Ongoing

  • Recommend updates to Chapter policies as necessary.
  • Review the entire Midwest Chapter / MLA Procedure Manual and make updates as necessary.
  • Designated as 'administrator' on PBwiki and maintain current list of participants on Policies & Procedures wiki.
  • Send reminders to Board Members twice a year to review and update Policies & Procedures wiki.
  • Submit items of interest to the Communications Committee.
  • Attend meetings of state associations by invitation, as requested by President.
  • Assist the President as requested.
  • Submit documents to the Archivist.
  • Arrange for a timely transfer of authority, documents and other materials to the incoming Immediate Past President.
